About Us

Excellent staff, small class sizes, a comprehensive curriculum, state-of-the-art technology, first-class school facilities, and a supportive community are strong features of Hot Springs County School District #1.

Ralph Witters Elementary serves students in grades kindergarten through 4th while Thermopolis Middle School serves students in grades 5 – 8. Hot Springs County High School serves students in grades 9 – 12. All three schools and district are fully accredited. With an average class size of 17:1, students are able to receive individual attention from staff.

HSCHS opened the doors to its new building in the fall of 2006. Ralph Witters Elementary underwent a remodel/renovation completed in 2007. The 800-seat auditorium is one of the finest in the Rocky Mountain region. The schools are the center of much activity that takes place in the community.
